超聲波作用于清洗溶液中時,會產生交替工作壓力,用于超聲空化閥的超聲波在清洗溶液中傳遞時可以產生超聲空化氣泡,能夠明顯提升氣體從清洗溶液中到氣泡的傳輸速率。空化氣泡是由清洗溶液中的微小氣核產生,在超聲波稀疏相應的負壓力作用會產生這些空泡。如果負壓力在空化氣泡形成后繼續存在,那么此時空化氣泡就會擴張到原來尺寸的許多倍,在這種狀況下,空化氣泡之后不斷地增大爆破。超聲波清洗機脫氣功能作用時,清洗溶液中氣體可通過定向擴散進入空化氣泡,當氣泡爆破時氣體會從中逸出,這就產生了脫氣作用。
